A similar tradition has also been transmitted by 'Uqbah b. 'Amir from the Prophet (saws) through a different chain of narrators.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ، حَدَّثَهُمْ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ شِمَاسَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِثْلَهُ ‏.‏
