Hadith 1457

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (saws) as saying: All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe" (1) is the epitome or basis of the Qur'an, the epitome or basis of the Book, and the seven oft-repeated verses.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ ‏<A id="q3" name="q3" href="javascript:openquran(0,2,2)"><c_q3>{‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ‏}</c_q3></a>‏ أُمُّ الْقُرْآنِ وَأُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَالسَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي ‏"‏ ‏.‏
