Hadith 457

Ziyad b. 'Ilaqa reported it on the authority of his uncle that he said the morning prayer with the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) and he recited in the first rak'ah: "And the tall palm trees having flower spikes piled one above another (l. 10) or perhaps Surah Qaf."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلاَقَةَ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الصُّبْحَ فَقَرَأَ فِي أَوَّلِ رَكْعَةٍ ‏<A id="q19" name="q19" href="javascript:openquran(49,10,10)"><c_q19>{‏ وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَهَا طَلْعٌ نَضِيدٌ‏}</c_q19></a>‏ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ ‏{‏ ق‏}‏ ‏.‏
