Hadith 2212
Rafi' b. Khadij reported: I heard Allah's messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The fever is due to the intense heat of the Hell, so cool it with water.
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ، بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ، رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِنَّ الْحُمَّى فَوْرٌ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ فَابْرُدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ " .
