Hadith 547
Ibn ‘Abbas (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Wear white clothes, for they are (considered as) your best clothes, and enshroud your dead in them.” Related by the five Imams, except for An-Nasa’i, and At-Tirmidhi reported it to be sound.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضَ, فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ, وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ إِلَّا النَّسَائِيَّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ <sup>1</sup> .
